NICK MUELLER, film director of KRLD-TV, Dallas, Texas, was a member of the staff orchestra of KRLD, Dallas, CBS network affiliate. During World War II, Nick served as a sergeant in the U. S. Army. Following his discharge, he joined KRLD as record librarian. That job lead to his position as film librarian with KRLD-TV at the time the station made its bow in December 1949. His suggestions for film operation were adopted, and he was named film director in August 1952.
BERT MITCHELL, program director and film buyer of KPRC-TV, Houston, Texas, started as an actor, but turned to directing. After studying at the Pasadena Playhouse in Calif., Bert came back to his native state, Texas, to help direct the Cavalcade of State of the 1936 Centennial. He joined ABC on the West Coast, where he stayed for four and a half years before he was called into the
Army. Bert was associated with WFAA-TV before coming to KPRC-TV in 1951 when he took his present post.
EDWARD G. MURRAY, film buyer of WPTZ. Philadelphia, Pa., is a graduate of Yale Uni
©versity. He served with the 63rd Division during World War II. Following conclusion of hostilities Ed joined Monogram International Corporation and was sales manager of the non-theatrical sales division. In 1950 he joined the staff of WPTZ as film buyer handling such nationally known local shows as "Frontier Playhouse" and "Hollywood Playhouse." Ed is a member of the Yale Club of New York City.

LELAND MULLER. film buyer of KTLA, Los Angeles, Calif., known to his intimates as Jerry, is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he majored in cinematography. Jerry joined KTLA's film department in 1946, when the station was known as WXYZ. He was formerly production assistant at 20th CenturyFox. Jerry was a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Force in World
War II, a veteran of 85 bombing missions in the China-Burma-India theatre of operations.
WILLIAM G. MULVEY, film buyer of WNHCTV, New Haven, Conn., was born in Albany, N. Y. Following graduation from Fordham University in New York City, where he earned a Degree in English and a BS, William joined the Elm City Broadcasting Corp. Shortly thereafter he was appointed to his present position, where he now supervises all program activities together with TV film purchasing. While at Fordham, he was promotion manager, sports-writer and announcer for the University FM station WFUV.
SIDNEY NADLER. film director of WXEL, Cleveland, O., joined the staff of WXEL, in September, 1951, as assistant film director. He attained his present post a year later. His previous experience includes being film editor for WOR-TV in N. Y. and account executive for WPTR, Albany, N. Y. Sidney was a sound motion picture technician for the U. S. Marine Corps for three and ^ a half years, serving
both in the U. S. and overseas. Returning to civilian life, Sidney still maintained his interest in the film business.
