ROBERT M. PASKOW. film buyer of WATV, Newark, N. J., comes to TV after twenty years in the motion picture industry with Warner Brothers. Following graduation from New York University, he was employed with the Oxweld Acetylene Co., in Newark, as an industrial engineer, and later joined the Bremer Broadcasting Corp. Bob, as he is popularly known, was active in organizing the
National Film Council in 1948 and served as vice-president-treasurer and chairman of the Television Station Committee.
JOHN F. PIVAL. station manager and film buyer of WXYZ-TV, Detroit, Mich., became interested in radio as an advertising medium for theaters, while genera] manager of Schreiber's theaters. He finally launched his own program on Detroit's WMBC. His theaterradio interests were interrupted in 1942 when he entered the Coast Guard. Upon leaving the service, he returned to WXYZ. When WXYZTV hit the air in 1948, John was made program manager and three years later took his present post.

CARL A. RUSSELL, film buyer of WKBK, Chicago, 111., took his present position in May of 1950, as it was the desire of the company to have someone who had knowledge of film as well as background and experience in judging the public's film desires. Prior to joining WBKB, Carl was with Balaban and Katz Corporation, one of the nation's top theater circuits. He started with the company as an
usher and then moved up to chief of service, assistant manager, and finally to manager.
