EDWARD J. LAMM, president of Pathescope Co. of America, Inc., entered the industrial film business by forming Advertising Film Associates in 1933, and six years later took over Pathescope. During the war years, he produced a great many training and orientation films for the Navy and other government agencies. The company produces industrial and educational films, TV commercials and TV programs. Ed has been active in the formation of the Film Producers Assn. of N. Y.
PAUL F. HEARD, president of Paul F. Heard, Inc., attended Lawrence College, (Appleton, Wise.) and the University of Minnesota. He was production supervisor in the Visual Education Department of the University of Minnesota. Paul has been associated with Methodist Church Headquarters as director of films, and also served as film evaluator, United Nations Central Training Film Committee in
Washington, D. C. He is a member of many film associations.
J. R. BRAY, president of Bray Studios, New York City, produces educational films for schools, hospitals, and the Armed Forces training programs. He began as an artist on the Detroit Evening News and later became associated with the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. In 1905 he invented and developed the animated motion picture cartoon processes and introduced the first animated cartoon in theaters. John produced a large number of training films for the U. S. Government during World War II.
DAVID L PINCUS. president of Caravel Films, N. Y., established the firm with two partners in 1923. He was set designer for the old Universal Studios in Coytesville, N. J. After a period as manager of the educational dept. for Fox, making films for Cunard and others, Dave joined Lejaren A. Hiller, and when Killer's studio became part of Underwood & Underwood he went along. He is v.p. of the Film
Producers Assn. and co-chairman of the Film and TV committee cf the N. Y. Board of Trade.
RALPH COHN. V.P. and general manager of Screen Gems, Inc., subsidiary of Columbia Pictures, received his initial training in the motion picture production field as executive producer at Darmour Studios and Columbia. He was associated with Mary Pickford and Buddy Rogers in Triangle Prods, prior to serving in the U. S. Army. Ralph returned to Columbia, remaining until he formed Telefilms, Inc. and Telespots. The following year he joined Screen Gems as gen. mgr. and was elected V.P. late in 1952.

While working as a writer in the shorts subjects department at Warner Brothers Studio, he obtained the Santa Fe Railroad as his first account and thus began to set hmself up in business. Today Dudley TV Corp. does the ^ commercials for the "I Love Lucy show, "Judge Dunhill" and many others.
