692 RADIO BROADCAST ADVERTISER power at all times. At every instant, no matter what the demand may be, there is an instantaneous response to the call for the power required to handle those peak voltages that ordinarily are dulled and fogged by a supply that is worked too near its limit. In other words, there is a reserve of power available from a Raytheon B-supply and when a soprano touches those elusive high notes, the receiver will respond; when the Symphony leader calls for the maximum of effort from his musicians, the receiver will not fail to register the enormous change in volume. All of this means fidelity and naturalness, both in tone and in volume. The easy control of a power supplied by a Raytheon eliminator lends itself to the distance seeker. To bring a receiver to its most sensitive condition requires a simple and yet delicate control of voltages. The Raytheon B power supply enables the user to control oscillations by a casual turn of a knob. "Spilling over" and the resultant distortion is prevented by the gradual manner in which the detector B voltage may be changed. When all tuning operations are complete this voltage may be increased and the voice of the announcer will come through clear and with full volume. The importance of good loud speakers has been mentioned in radio magazines, descriptions of high quality and comparatively high power amplifiers have been published. In connection with these high quality speakers and amplifiers the use of power tubes is highly important so that there is always available a reserve of power. These power tubes make possible the am ONGAN TRANSFORMERS and CHOKES 509 Full Wave $7.00 List Use Dongan B-Power Units for assured results with the Raytheon Tube. Build your own B-Eliminator. Potter 1 microfarad, 1 .000 volt condenser unit employed in Raytheon group weighs 153 grams per microfarad is composed ol 3 laminations; insulation between foils. Each unit, furthermore, in these groups has been thoroughly tested for a break-down voltage of not less than 1,000 volts D. C. Of full capacity, they remove every vestige of A. C. impulses. They eliminate hum. They give a continuous discharge service without leakage because they are far more highly insulated than ordinary condensers. Potter microfarad units insure the highest possible resistance and longest life under continuous use. Compare with others. Write for complete information. POTTER MANUFACTURING CO. NORTH CHICAGO, ILL. It forever eliminates noises from run down "B" batteries and the expense of replacing them. It reduces cost of operating set to minimum. Just connect it to light socket and it will keep your "B" power always ready full efficiency — costs less than TV of a cent per hour. Has ample power to operate any set and is adjustable for any voltage requirement. Model W-B-4 is especially designed to operate sets using power tube in last audio stage.
