B. B. C. Hires Secret Service
LONDON, England, November 1. — The fact that the British Broadcasting company has a secret service department has only just been disclosed to an amazed public. This secret service provides information of utmost value to the B. B. C. Although the B. B. C. relies to a great extent on its big daily mail bag for the opinions of listeners on the programs, it was felt some time ago this method of obtaining guidance should be supplemented. It was, therefore, decided that the organization should have official critics whose duty it would be to report regularly on the various kinds of items broadcast. Men who could be relied upon to give a worth-while opinion were chosen. They listen regularly to the various stations and report frankly on what they hear.
