We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.
Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

SHORT WAVES
By Marcella
(Continued from page 2) Gosden, but then the shorter member of the duo makes up for this deficiency by added avoirdupois and a talent for playingthe violin. Charlie Correll started off in life at Peoria, 111., and Freeman Gosden cried out for the first time in Hatteras, N. C. They eat, sleep and live music, are both about 30 years of age, very sentimental and single. But which will you pick?

Soon thereafter 'Allen and Cantor" were billed on the eastern vaudeville circuits as a singing act. For about the same time Miss Cantor has been the main support of her parents, and nowadays she finds herself a busy girl with broadcasting at WEEI and all. She is a favorite accompanist for such celebrities as Irving Berlin and Pat Rooney when they appear at the Boston Edison station. To describe her, I shall say that she is an attractive little brunette, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a dark complexion, dark brown eyes and very (Continued on page 11)

The Chelsea Truphonic Six utilizes an entirely new and different system of audio amplification — a system as far in advance of that heretofore employed as the orthophonic principle in talking machines is superior to former phonograph reproduction A power tube may be used in the last stage, thus obtaining tremendous amplifica tion. Tone quality is stabilized while the whole tone range is increased to its full limits, enabling you to enjoy the maximum capabilities of the best loudspeaker.
