WLS Prominent Pastor Series Religious services of the University of Chicago broadcast through the WLS, the Sears-Roebuck Agricultural Foundation station, will include sermons by the following prominent pastors: Rev. M. H. Krumbein, Parkside Evangelical church, Buffalo, October 10 and 17; Rev. Harold E. B. Speight, Kings Chapel, Boston, October 24 and 31; Rev. Lynn Harold Hough, Central Methodist Episcopal, Detroit, November 7 and 14; Rev. C. Wallace Petty, First Baptist, Pittsburgh, November 21 and 28; Rev. David BrynJones, Trinity Baptist, Minneapolis, December 5 and 12, and President Bernard Iddings Bell, St. Stephens College, convocation, December 19.
Arrangements have been made for a series of "Little Journeys with Noted
Authors" with John M. Stahl as the WLS guide. About twenty authors have been listed to broadcast something of their experiences and their works.
Other Hew Programs Announced The WBCN Ensemble has arranged a special feature series of poetical readings with musical accompaniments for the Chicago listener's circle. They are scheduled for alternate Thursdays between 10 and
11 p. m.
WOOD of Grand Rapids, Mich., will inaugurate its new station with an "Air Mail Hour." This is a new idea in conjunction with the request program between 11 and
12 p. m. All letters received by the new air mail service will be answered by air mail. The air mail route is between Detroit and Grand Rapids.
Several new orchestras from four of the most popular cafes in Pittsburgh have been added to the WCAE programs. Dr. Cadman of Brooklyn will conduct one of the various Sunday services each week. He is on the WCAE wave at 4 p. m.
