A piece of legal paper, official promise from Uncle Sam that he'll pay you back your money plus interest. The Bond will be registered in your name. Keep it safely put away. Can you CASH a Bond? Yes, any time 60 days after you buy it, if you get in a jam and need money, you can cash a Bond (at Post Office or bank). WHERE can you buy War Savings Bonds and Stamps? At your nearest Post Office.
