The first time when, as shy youngsters of 17 and 16, they met one eventful night at choir practice in their home town of Peoria, Illinois, and immediately fell in love. There followed a storybook romance and, after they had grown up a bit, they were married. Years of trouping, of living here and there, had been warmed by the dream that some day they'd have a beautiful home of their own.
