■*• Shortly after the radio industry itself was 16 years old, the Hytron Coi-p., tube makers of Salem, Mass., celebrated their 16th year of operation, according to news from G. J. Hallam, Hytron sales manager. Affair was a local dinner, attended by company officials and 2 0 department store managers. On the program were Lloyd Coffin, president; Bruce Coffin, treasurer; and Richard S. Biiggs, chief engineer.
♦ Whitford Drake, formerly executive vice-president of Electrical Research Products, Inc., was recently elected president to succeed Edgar S. Bloom. Latter is president of Westem Electric Co., the parent firm.
