We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.
Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.
CURRENT RECORDS
By Irving Jacobs
Starting with this issue of the Record Changer, an attempt will be made to list each month all "popular," "race," and "jazz" records as they are released. Ordinarily the list will not include records in the "classical" and "hill-billy" categories.
The following records have been produced during 1946. There are, of course, some omissions which we will include in subsequent issues as the information becomes available to us.
We would appreciate all recording companies sending us their release sheets regularly. Address them to Irving Jacobs, 155-01 90th Ave., Jamaica 2, New York.
