13 THE 1926 GENNETT RECORD CATALOG §£lf>habetica1 'Division The 1926 Gennett Record Catalog lists every lateral Gennett Record in alphabetical order under the following classifications : Popular Dance, Popular Vocal, Standard and Classic, Sacred, Christmas, Hawaiian, Songs of Yesterday, Dances of Yesterday, Old Time Fiddle, Race, Negro Spiritual, Physical .Culture, William Jennings Bryan, Historical, University Glees and Marches, Violin, Accordion, Marimba, Banjo, Recitations, Comic, Whistling, Canary, Band, Patriotic, Old Time Mountain Tunes, Yodeling, Specialties. Each record is arranged under each of its titles and under the artist or organization recording it. All Gennett Records are double-faced, the "A" and "B" titles connected with the word "and" thus : At Night (EngelRachmaninoff) and The Last Hour (Brown-Kramer) — Henry Moeller, "At Night" being the "A" side, and "The Last Hour" the "B" side, with composers' names in parenthesis. Both sides sung by Henry Moeller. Most Gennett Records are made with orchestra accompaniment such as vocal solos, vocal quartets, instrumental solos, etc., but there are violin numbers and certain classes of songs and other selections which from their special nature call for other or no accompaniment. This catalog is in every way simple yet complete.
