As roller No. 1 passes over the point of the diamond roller No. 4 engages with the curved surface H at the end of the locking ring and the roller is thrown forward and downward until it slides on to the outer surface of the locking ring. Figure D represents the position of the intermittent parts after the film is about to be brought to rest. Roller No. 4 has just reached the outer surface of the locking ring and the four rollers are immediately locked as the locking ring enters the space between them.
