It is practically standard procedure in Hollywood for a new feminine star to declare that she is completely disinterested in romance, and then in almost the next gasp to announce her engagement. But it was not so with Audrey Hepburn. Audrey came into the limelight already engaged, and just before she stepped across the magic threshold of fame she first closed the door on romance.
