Ginger Rogers and Cary Grant will be co-starred. WANDERING AROUND HOLLYWOOD uuilt tke "&lctUme>i" Looks like we're in for a cycle of woman doctor pictures, starting off with Columbia's "You Belong To Me," and Universal's "Appointment for Love." They're both swell pictures . . . the kind smart showmen can go to town on. We're looking for some very interesting results on Monogram's "Riot Squad," which ex-producer Ed Finney will direct, and exdirector Al Herman will produce. Ever since Glenn Ford made his screen debut, he has had a fist fight in each of the films in which he has appeared. Just to keep the records straight, Glenn's role in Columbia's "Martin Eden," calls for three of them. It's a tough way to make a living, if you ask us. We suppose we should say Sidney Salkow will referee, instead of direct. "Nothing-but-the-best" Goldwyn, better known as Samuel, has signed Sam Wood to direct Bob Hope in "Treasure Chest." Wood, who recently completed "Kings Row" at Warner Bros., reports to Goldwyn after he has finished his current assignment ?t Paramount, "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Should be something worth waiting for. Howard Gets Role at Col. John Howard has been assigned the lead in Columbia's "The Man Who Returned To Life," now being readied for early production at the Gower Street plant.
