Plot: A professor of psychology at a university runs a mission in the slum district at night as a cover-up for his illegal activities. He employs escaped criminals to kill and steal for him and has a drug addict doctor run the layout. It is the doctor, when given the opportunity, who evens up the score by disposing of the professor. Director, Wallace Fox. ADVENTURES OF MARK TWAIN (WB) Drama. Principals: Fredric March, Alexis Smith, Donald Crisp, Bill Henry. Plot: This is the life story of one of America's greatest literary geniuses, Samuel Langhorne Clemens; of his birth in a small town in Missouri and of his boyhood spent with his boon companions, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn; how the Civil War affected his life and how his happy marriage spurred him on to write his host of great books. Plot: Ranchers are being harried by rustlers who run off their cattle, shoot up the town and even resort to murder. One of the merchants of the town, who is actually the leader of the rustlers, tries to throw Hoppy and his pals off the right track, when they arrive. But Hoppy doesn't fall for his tricks . . . and the whole gang end up behind bars. Director, Joseph Henabery. SHERIFF OF SAGE VALLEY (PRC) Western. Principals: Buster Crabbe, Al St. John, Tex O'Brien, Maxine Leslie, Charles King. Plot: Billy the kid and his pals interrupt a holdup by three bandits of the stagecoach in which the Sheriff, a passenger, is killed. Upon the request of the bankermayor of the town, Billy takes over the job of Sheriff and cleans out the unlawful element which has been trying to seize all the ranches. Director, Sherman Scott. ONCE UPON A HONEYMOON (RKO) Comedy-Drama. Principals: Ginger Rogers, Cary Grant, Walter Slezak, Albert Dekker, Albert Basserman, Harry Shannon. Plot: An American correspondent in Vienna, while attempting to get a story on the forthcoming marriage of the Baron to an American girl, discovers that the Baron is an advance agent for all of Hitler's invasions. The correspondent and the girl are thrown together in a mutual attempt to get out of each bombblasted country they go through. They end up headed for the U. S. and on the way make sure that the Baron doesn't get here. Producer-Director, Leo Mc Carey. H9USE OF MYSTERY (Univ.) Drama. Principals: Irene Hervey, Don Porter, Nils Asther, Leif Erikson, Ralph Morgan, Fay Helm. Plot: A woman psychiatrist is summoned by the sister of a hopeless cripple to help her, for she believes she is going insane. When the psychiatrist arrives she finds herself in the midst of a crazy collection of people, among whom are the doctors who attended the crippled man.
