JULY Is the takeup action smooth, and correct; the belts or chains tout and not excessively worn? JULY 2 Check readings of tube meters; reploce tubes as necessary for quality and reliable operation. JULY Is rectifier cooling fan behaving normally? Rectifier operating at the proper temperature? JULY Is sound track alignment the best possible to avoid sprocket hole and frame line noise? JULY Using a watch, check the starting time of both projector motors. Have they slowed down? JULY 6 Is your stock of spore parts COMPLETE? Have you enough carbons — for ALL needs? JULY Examine projector and soundhead gears; order replacements in advance if any ore seriously worn. JULY 8 Check all motor-generators for cool bearings, commutator condition, freedom from sparking. JULY 9 Check all oil cups, oil reservoirs, grease cups, other lubricating points. Lubricate as needed. JULY Inspect tungar rectifier tube filaments. Replace all tubes that show any serious filament sag. JULY 14 Check film guides, ten slon shoes, idlers. aper ture plates, for wear. Order replacements now. JULY 11 Watch the screen care fully during showi ng of titles for even slight travel ghost. JULY 15 Examine the asbestos covered leads to all lamphouses. Are they still in good condition? JULY 12 Test fire shutters of projectors for reliability; chock action of port safety shutters. JULY 13 Rotate the pre-focussed exciter lamps into operating position. Are they in perfect focus? JULY 16 Examine carbon jaws in all lamphouses. Sandpaper as necessary to remove all roughness. JULY 17 Listen to sound critically; ony flutter or wowtf Remedy cause in soundhead or projector.
