Moskov, who feels that moviegoers would rather see an artist perform without such distractions as plot, dialog, etc., revealed that popular entertainers might also be included in the series, but that the plot-less formula would still prevail. The producer believes he can book such pictures into art houses first, then get them into regular runs as second features. THE FABULOUS FRAUD (MGM— K-976) John Nesbitt Passing Parade. 11 mins. This is the story of Anton Mesmer. father of mesmerism, who accidentally stumbled on n great scientific truth which brought him fame — and then obscurity. Release date, 8/28/48. WHO'S DELINQUENT? (RKO— 83113) This Is America. 16 mins. Using a typical American town as a laboratory, the camera reveals the extent of 'teen-age arrests and their misdemeanors. Editor of the local paper puts all his reporters on the story. Blame is placed, not only on the parents, but on the whole community. Film ends with the townspeople meeting in an effort to solve the problem. Release date: 10/15/48.
