The Billboard * 1 DECEMBER 3, MOVING PICTURE THEATRES. The Alban Theatre on State street, Efie, Pa., which rons moving pictures and vaudeville, has been sold to €. R. Brown of Youngstown, 0O., who is remodeling the place and will open the theatre under the new name of Photo-Play Thea tre. He has installed a large mirror screen the first one in Erie. instead of the curtain which the pictures have heretofore been shown on, and has also put a four-piece orchestra in the theatre. J. J. Ellis, manager of the Bijou Theatre at Cloquet, Minn... has sold his interest to Miss Anna Caron, secretary and treasurer of the th> atre and has gone to his former home in Be midji. Minn., to reside. Mr. Ellis retires from bnsiness on account of suffering from a paralytic stroke received last summer. The old Parker Opera House, Mason City, Ia has been remodeled and opened picture show under the name Ceorge L. Williamson is the John K. Melver will erect an up-to-date motion picture theatre at Baltimore and Gil more streets and Frederick avenue, Baltimore, Ma The Columbia Theatre at Portsmouth, 0., was opened last Monday. Kennedy to the Hill Earl Hill will be operator and manager. The Crystal Moving Picture Co., has leased a building in Connersville, Ind., and will convert it inte a motion picture theatre. The Dream Theatre, Aberdeen, Wash., was opened November 24, under the management of J. V. Lynn Harry Sterling has purchased the motion picture theatre at Plano, Ill., from Mrs. Mary Woods. L. N new Cozy has Bros. Hunter, of Peoria, Ill... has opened the Electric Theatre at Cleveland, Miss. S. B.
