New York, June 80 (Special board).—A new motion picture turer has been incorporated in under the name of the U. S. Moto Photo Comany, incorporated under the laws of New York State. The firm has temporary offices at No. 500 Fifth Avenue, from which business preparatory to constructing a factory and studio is being conducted. The firm is composed of several prominent men in New York City, and the list of directors embraces such names as H. L. Whaley president; Percival E. The name of Ibsen in the lobby and within on the screen, a strong film from a story by him, proved a good draw for picture houses throughout the country a couple of months ago, when Pillars of Society was released. This was not alone the first story of the great Ibsen to be filmed by Thanhouser, but the first Ibsen story to be ever made into a film by any one. The success of the picture decided Thanhouser to film another from the writings of this author, and The Doll’s House was selected. The recep tion of this reel will be closely followed by the folks at New Rochelle, and if it is at all hearty, a strong series of Ibsen films will result.
