Taken altogether, 26 answers out of 42 are in conformity with the children's first preferences, i.e., more than 60 per cent. When the second preferences are taken into account, the degree of conformity is higher. (There may also have crept in a certain amount of involuntary inaccuracy on the side of the children in view of the 'abstract' character of No. 3 in our questionnaire.) So much about our children's taste for films.
To our question, i Have you seen any film which made you want to be really good?', 15 children have answered 'yes' (4 boys and 11 girls. The whole class consists of 25 girls and 17 boys). It is interesting to note that proportionally more girls admitted the 'good influence' of films.
The films which had good influence are worth listing:
Boys Girls
Queen Victoria A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
— no film mentioned Hollywood Canteen
Since You Went Away Jane Eyre
