Be ready for the heavy color telecasting schedules coming up by installing RCA-4415's and RCA-4416's now. These RCA Image Orthicons in matched sets of three— two RCA4415's for red and green channels and one RCA-4416 for the blue— are highly recommended for color cameras utilizing simultaneous pickup. At ordinary black and white lighting levels, these tubes produce excellent pictures in color receivers as well as high-resolution pictures with normal tone rendition in black and white receivers. Precision construction, field-mesh, plus closely matched characteristics assure uniform color in both highlights and in the background over the entire scanned area.
Because they operate under normal black-and-white studio lighting conditions, you will not have the problems of high scene-lighting temperatures, the need for extra air conditioning and many of the other lighting costs formerly associated with indoor color pickup.
