Photoplay Magazine's Popular Players EDWARD EARLE was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1884 and made his first public appearance in the Valentine stock company of that city in 1899 at the time Mary Pickford began child parts. During his stage career he played with De Wolf Hopper, Henrietta Crosman and Mary Mannering. He joined Pathe in 1913 but almost immediately went to Edison, with which company he has been ever since.
