Photoplay Magazine's Popular Players HENRY B. WALTHALL born in Shelby County, Ala., in 1880, is a Spanish War veteran. For seven years he played before the footlights and then joined that group of players familiar under the direction of D. W. Griffith. "Home, Sweet Home," "Avenging Conscience,*' and "Ghosts"' are well known, but Walthall's lasting fame rests upon the role of the Little Colonel in "The Birth of a Nation." He is married.
