Murffy Ann Forrest Ann Forrest, formerly known as Ann Kroman, was born in Denmark in 1897. Her girlhood was spent in Tacoma. She was always an accomplished athlete. She had often read that girls who could swim and dive and ride frisky horses could get into the movies. She was seventeen then and could do all those things. Determined to make a name for herself, she started out. Santa Barbara was the first stop. Here she doubled for the heroine by diving from a forty foot cliff, thus making her entrance on the screen. Height, five feet, two inches; weight, 104 pounds; blonde hair and blue eyes.
