Evans Holt Jack Holt entered picture ranks via the stock company and vaudeville route. He was born in Winchester, Virginia, May i, 1888, was educated at the Virginia Military Institute and began his career as a civil engineer. In 1916, Mr. Holt made his first appearance in motion pictures, doubling for a leading man. It was his duty to ride a horse over a thirty-foot bank into the river. Following this incident, he appeared in parts which gradually increased in importance. During the past three years he has been appearing exclusively under the Paramount banner. Married and has three children.
