This establishment, which was started in Beverly, Mass., in 1873, moved after a short successful career in that city to Salem. William Lefavour, the founder, took an active interest in the business until his death in 1916. A beautiful brochure illustrating the exterior and interior views of the three-story building occupied by the concern at 186 Essex street was sent to the customers of the store in commemoration of the anniversary.
