Fire Protection
In addition to the easy accessibility, the auditorium is provided with ample means of emergency exits, well-distributed at various points. For fire protection, besides the fire curtain, there are fire hydrants, extinguishers, and sprinkler systems placed at salient positions in accordance with the regulations of the Fire Department, All materials incorporated in the building have been carefully selected for their fire-resisting qualities.
The structural design of the building is entirely of reinforced concrete, resting on a foundation of Vibro Piles. The balcony is carried by a reinforced concrete fulcrum truss with a system of cantilevers. The roof trusses are built of structural steel with a fireproof suspended ceiling of gypsum plaster board and corrugated asbestos cement roofing.
