We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

PUT YOUR THEATRE ON THE ENTERTAINMENT MAP......... Concerning the map display piece in your lobby, Eddie Newman, manager of the Capitol theatre, Winnipeg, has taken this project a giant step further. Eddie mounted his map on a piece of beaverboard then punched out the larger cities and towns with a leather punch. He then pasted colored gelatin or cellophane to the back of the map and mounted the map on the front of a shadow box. Lighted from behind with incandescant bulbs which operate on a flasher, Eddie reports this display is a real eye-catcher. Eddie has lined up a couple of large restaurants to display these maps in their windows during the peak Christmas shopping period. WE ALSO TIP OUR HAT TO......... Dick Letts, manager of the Strand theatre, Vancouver, has sent along a sketch of cards he had his local sign man prepare in very bright colors. (Size about 20" by 8") * * * A FREE TICKET IN EVERY BOOK! * % * * 25¢ tickets 75¢ tickets $1.00 tickets * % * * 6 for $1.25 5 for $3.00 5 for $4.00 * % * These cards stress the number of tickets in the various books and Dick notes that the actual listing of the number of tickets fcr the money seemed to merit the patrons consideration. These cards sniped to your poster material or spotted around the lobby would be very effective.
