We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

W. J. Burke, Capitol theatre, Brantford QUICK, CHAPS, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL BELL REPRESENTATIVE: CHRISTMAS GIFT TICKET CAMPAIGN: The Belle Telephone Company introduced a new telephone on the market this week, and requested a display in my lobby. One of the new Princess phones was hooked up to one of their tape recording machines, with a sign on the phone asking customers to "pick up the receiver and listen." What they heard was a taped message plugging Famous Players Gift Tickets for Christmas -and there isn't a person that passes this display that doesn't pick up the phone and listen.
