REVISION OF SECTION 5 IN CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS Section 5 of the Constitution and By-Laws, which was revised to read as follows, and which was circularized in printed form to members before the Spring Convention, was voted upon and ratified at the business session on Monday, May 6, 1929, of the Spring Convention of the Society of Motion Picture Engineers. Applications 5. Amended by action at Spring meeting 1929, New York City, N.Y., and made retroactive to October 1, 1928. All applications for membership or transfers shall be made on blank forms provided for the purpose, and shall be accompanied by the required entrance or transfer fee. The entrance fee for applicants residing in the United States and Canada shall be $30.00 for admission to the grade of Active Member, and $20.00 for admission to the grade of Associate Member. The entrance fee for applicants resident in foreign countries, outside of the United States and Canada, shall be $15.00 for admission to the grade of Active Member, and $10.00 for admission to the grade of Associate Member. The transfer fees from Associate to Active grade shall be the difference between the above mentioned fees, or $10.00 for members resident in the Ignited States and Canada, and $5.00 for members living in foreign countries outside of the United States and Canada. The annual dues shall be $20.00 for Active Members, and $10.00 for Associate Members, payable on or before Octobr 1 of each year. Current or first year's dues for new members, payable on admission to the Society, shall be prorated on a quarterly basis. 107
