Preston Foster, Waterfront's “Cap’n John,” flatly re¬ fused to do a second tele¬ film with a seal after be¬ ing called on to kiss it in an earlier show. ■ When Warners of¬ fered French character- actor Marcel Dalio a lead¬ ing role in their upcom¬ ing Casablanca TV series, he was baited with: “Anita Ekberg is in the series, and gou'll get two love scenes with her.’* “These are very unfair tactics,” Marcel moaned, any actor in his right mind refuse?” ■ Before NBC’s initial Wide Wide World telecast, the producer of the Mexican segment was told it was all right to show a matador being killed “—but not the bull.” . . .
