Chicago’s Own Tribute: TV GUIDE’S W HAT promises to be an unforget¬ table evening of entertainment is in store for viewers next month. On the night of January 15, 1954, a sparkling, star-studded one-hour telecast of TV GUIDE’S Annual Awards Presentation will be carried over WBKB (Channel 7) from 10 to 11 PM. It will be spon¬ sored by Jim Moran of Courtesy Motors, who will forego his customary offering of the popular Courtesy Hour to present the TV GUIDE extravaganza. A prominent network star will emcee the gala proceedings to be held in Chi¬ cago’s famed Civic Opera Theater. Between award presentations, famous professional en¬ tertainers of the foremost rank will perform. The public is invited to witness the spectacle at the Civic Opera Theater first-hand and free of charge. However, these free tickets of admission are limited as seating capacity is fixed at 815. Re¬ quests will be honored in the order re¬ ceived, and each applicant will be lim¬ ited to four tickets. Be sure to include your full name and return address on all letters.
