In a deal involving some $3,000,000 over a two-year stretch, ART LINKLETTER and his People Are Funny move into the Sunday-night-at-7:00 period on NBC starting next fall, replacing PAUL WINCHELL and JERRY MAHONEY. LINK- LETTER's House Party, the daytime program, remains on CBS. NELSON CASE will be program host for the Fireside Theater re¬ runs this summer. GENE RAYMOND returns Aug. 31 when the series resumes its original productions . . . It's News to Me, the panel quiz show based on current news, returns this summer as replacement for You Are There. In hopes of luring a new sponsor fast, the network has decreed that the series henceforth is to concentrate only on non-controversial, Americana themes. * * * ROSEMARY CLOONEY signed as guest headliner on the first telecast of Stage Show, the summer replacement for JACKIE GLEASON that's to star TOMMY and JIMMY DORSEY . . . There's a good possibility that the BOB CROSBY daytime show will substitute for one-half of Godfrey and Friends during July and August. Either JACK PAAR or ROBERT Q.
