Sid Caesar clutches swooning spouse (Nanette Fabray) in feverish opera. FINE TUNING By Ollie Crawford Network plans new show titled The $64,000 Question. This is the $64 question, before taxes. • The big $64,000 question so far is where to get the $64,000. • This new CBS show is something like Take It Or heave It, except that it’s too heavy to take it. These boys are safe as long as a contestant doesn’t arrive in a truck. This is the money you can win for just knowing an answer instead of a combination. • The big winner gets a free trip through Gleason’s change purse. The $64,000 question is really like the old $64 question on a field of bagels. It’s the Texas oil millionaire’s version of penny ante. This is what happened to the $64 question after inflation set in. After all the comedy shows, along comes one with goose eggs. • It looks as if somebody’s summer replacement may be Fort Knox. • As one guy says, this is a pretty figure with noughts behind it. • Right after the quizmaster asks you the $64,000 question, the income tax man moves you up to the 80 percent bracket and asks you the $51,200 question.
