I But when he got home that night, the butcher discovered ' the meeting had cost Morgan him money. “Bet you’ll never guess who I was talking to today,” the butcher remarked to his Wife. “A dollar says I can,” retorted Ms spouse. Both parties then put up their money. “I feel sure it was Louise Morgan,” she replied patronizingly as she scooped up the money. “And the reason I know,” she added, “is because Louise mentioned on her Shopping Vues program yesterday that she was coming up to Dublin this weekend.” Morale of the tale: Don’t bet with your wife. Vocalist Cindy Lord of Swan Boat, which debuts on © at 9:00 A.M. Mon¬ day, was the singing femcee of a radio show when she was just 13-years-olcL Cindy hails from Medford, Mass. Alice Jackson, hostess of WJAR-TV’s Let’s Go Shopping, is enjoying a va¬ cation at Block Island, R. I. Olive Tin¬ der is filling in for Alice. It’s a little out of his line as a sportscaster, but WJAR-TV’s Warren Walden was credited with a major as¬ sist in locating a lost child. The dis¬ traught parents had appealed to War¬ ren to give a description of the young- i ster on his TV Sports Page show. A Warwick, R. I., housewife, watching the program, remem¬ bered seeing a boy answering the de¬ scription. She con¬ tacted the police who found the youth and returned him to his parent’s home in Providence, 12 miles away.
