Cm m) Robin Chandler Here and There: Robin Chandler’s Meet Your Cover Girl celebrated its first anniversary October 25. . . . Roy Rogers’ mighty mount Trigger, long billed as “the smartest horse in the movies,” is now said to be the smartest horse in TV, too. He won’t be seen on your screens until De¬ cember 30, but he’s already taking part in negotiations with General Foods, sponsor of The Roy Rogers Show. Trigger recently flew—or, rather, was flown (he’s not t smart)—to a conference at Battle Creek, Mich. We trust you’ll be as ex¬ cited as we were to learn that this was the first time in history a horse had done such a thing. Golly. . . . Milton DeLugg, bandleader-composer- comedian, has been appointed musical conductor and arranger for the Olsen & Johnson shows on The All Star Revue. . . . Ralph Bellamy has been cited by City College’s annual Activities Fair for being “TV’s most realistic private detective.” . . . When Raymond Massey appears with Fred War¬ ing Oct. 28 in a minstrel show number, it’ll be at his own special request. Massey’s start in show business came in a minstrel show. . . . Mark (Butch) Cavell, talented young TV actor, has just finished a movie for Paramount, Thunder In the East. Also in it are a pair of actors named Alan Ladd and Charles Boyer. (Who are they?) . . . Rudy Vallee stands revealed as a part ovmer and vice president of the company that makes Coffee Time, a carbonated coffee beverage we like. Claire Mann’s Clamour Wire: To “save face,” here are a few don’ts which cause wrinkles pre¬ maturely. Don’t clench your teeth. Don’t knot your forehead. Don’t let the comers of your mouth droop. These mannerisms leave an in¬ delible imprint on your face. . . . Here are a few do’s: Learn to whistle a tune when alone. ’This helps lift the muscles around your mouth and erase lines. Leam to smile easily and quickly. It soon becomes a habit. Leam to relax your face. You can do this by becoming a good listener. 16 WAYS TO BE COOJL—ant/ they're all on the summer menu of the air-condi¬ tioned Peachtree!
