MINUTES OF MEETING OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS -of , UNITED ARTISTS CORPORATION A meeting of the Board of Directors.of UNITED ARTISTS COHPORATION was held at the office of the corporation, 729 Seventh Avenue, New York 19, N. Y., on Monday, January 24, 1944, at 2.30 P. M. There were present: Messrs. Edward C. Raftery, Gradwell L. Sears, George L. Bagnall Mr. Kelly was absent. Telegraphic notice of the meeting was sent to each of the Directors and c&éble notice was sent to Mr. Arthur W. Kelly in England. Copy of notice is attached. Mr. Raftery presided and Mr. Bagnall was appointed Secretary of the meeting. : -——-3 Mr. Raftery commented on the fact that we had received numerous request®“to participate in the Fourth War Loan Drive end, on motion duly made and) seconded, it was unanimously RESOLVED that UNITED ARTISTS CORPORATION purchase $150,000 worth of bonds of the Fourth War Loan issue and that this emount be purchesea through the following banks: Guaranty Trust Company of N. Y. 25,000. Benkers Trust Company 25,000. Bank of America of L, A. rm $25,000. Security First Nat'l Bank of L.A. $25,000. Each United Artists Exchange, with the exception of the New York Exchange, to purchase $2,000 worth of the Fourth War Loan Bonds, through their local banks.
