Sbe scored soine of her niost important personal triumphs in "Red Day" (Garrick Theatre). "Little Accident" (Apollo Tbeatre), "Sometinie" (Vaudeville Tbeatre), "Tbree Birds" ( Criterion Theatre), in all of whicb sbe played leading parts. Sbe also reaped rapturous applaiise and excellent press notices in Arcbie de Bear's "Follies" at the Prince's Tbeatre, and later iniderstudied and deputized for Cicely Courtenidge, the famous coniedienne, in "Folly to be Wise" at the Piccadilly Tbeatre. Tbough still on the tbresbold of her career, Bibi Delabere is well on the way to stage stardom and her talkie debut is awaited with tbe keenest interest. In bemerkenswert kurzer Zeil bat Bibi Delabere ihren Weg auf der Bühne gemacht und bereitet si<'b nunmehr auf ihren Einzug in die Tonfilmwelt vor. nachdem sie vor kurzem bei einer Probeaufnahme glänzend abgeschnitten hat. Ihr Spezialfach ist die Operette, obgleich sie auch Charakterrollen in gleicher Vollkommenheit spielt. Ihre größten Erfolge erzielte die Künstlerin in „Red Day" (Garrick-Theater), „Little Accident" (ApolloTheater), „Sometinie" (Vaudeville-Theater), „Tbree Birds" ( Criterion-Tbeater), in all diesen Stücken in führenden Rollen. Enthusiastischen Beifall und ausgezeichnete Presseurteile erntete Bibi Delabere in Arcbie de Bear's „Follies" am Prince Tbeatre in London; später übernahm sie die Rolle der berühmten Darstellerin Cicely Courtenidge in „Folly to be Wise" am PiccadillyTheater. Obwohl Bibi Delabere am Beginn ihrer Laufbahn steht, sagt man ihr eine große Bühnenzukunft voraus und erwartet mit größtem Interesse ihr Tonfilmdebüt. Josephine Deut started in the chorus at the London Hippodrome and after four years of chorus work divided between England. Canada and tbe L nited States, was in 1923 engaged to play comedy and character parts in the "Nine o'Clock Revue". Followed similar engagements for "Puppets" and "The Odd Spot", in the former of whicb sbe deputised for Binnie Haie on many occasions. Appeared with considerable success in "Beggar on Horseback", "Loose Ends", "Tess of the D'Urbervilles". "Devonshire Cream". "The Crooked Billet", "Man and Superman" and many other plays. In 1927 toured tbe provinces with Godfrey Tearle in "Dawn". Played minor parts in silent films and during the run of "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" made a brilliantly successful talkie test for British International Pictures. So far, however. sbe has beeil too busy on the stage to accept any of the talkie contracts tliat were offered to her as a result of that test.
