Made her first appearance on the Westend slage at the Court Theatre in „Bought and Paid For", in which she played the pari of the Frenrh Maid. Suhsequently she played the part of Flo in „Turkey Time" at the Aldwych Theatre. Though still on the threshold of her career, Patricia Dysart is looked upon as oiie of the most promising actresses of the younger generation. She has yet to niake her dehut on the talking screen, for which she is, however particiilarly well equipped hy reason of her fluent knowledge of the principal languages and her active faniiliari'y with Sports of all kinds. Sie spielte mit beträchtlichem Erfolg in verschiedenen bekannten Stücken, u. a. in Walter Hackett's berühmtem Lustspiel ..77, Park Lane" sowie in .,Her Past" und „The Middle Walch''. Auf einer Westend-Bühne erschien sie zum erstenmal am Court-Theater, wo sie in „Bought and Paid For" die Rolle des französischen Mädchens gab. Hierauf spielte sie die Flo in „Turkey Time" am Aldwych-Theater. Obwohl sie sozusagen erst an der Schwelle ihrer Laufbahn steht, ist Patricia Dysart eine der vielversprechendsten Schauspielerinnen der jüngeren Generation. Ihr Tonfilmdebüt steht noch aus. aber die Künstlerin scheint gerade für diese Kunstgattung besonders prädestiniert durch ihre Sprachkenntnisse (Englisch. Französisch, Deutsch) und ihre große Vertrautheit mit allen Arten des Sports. Madge Elliott had considerahle theatrical experience in Australia before she came to London in 1925. She achieved her first great personal success under the management of Laddie Cliff at the Carlton Theatre in a singing and dancing part in "Lady Luck". and was suhsequently starred by the same management as leading lady in "So This is Love", "Love Lies". "The Love Race" and "The Millionaire Kid", all at the Gaiety Theatre. Her contract with the Laddie Cliff Management lasted five years, during which she scored many notable triumphs. securing a high place in the front rank of English musical comedy actresses. To-day she is an established stage star of the first magnitude and is sure, whenever she appears on the stage. of rapturous applause from her audience and enthusiastic notices in the press. As a dancer and singer she has few equals and it is to be hoped that her talking film debul will not long be delayed. Heute ist sie anerkannt als Bühnenstern erster Ordnung: ihr Erscheinen auf der Bühne ist stets des größten Erfolges bei Publikum und Presse sicher. Als Sängerin und Tänzerin ist sie unerreicht und es ist zu erwarten, daß sie auch im Tonfilm die gleichen großen Triumphe erzielen wird. 476
