Needless to say, her reputation Stands as high in America as in England — and in England she is a star of the first magnitude with millions of admirers. Naturally. an actress of her calibre could not help attracting the attention of film producers, and she made her film debut in the days of the silent film. She has just completed her first talking film, "The Stranglehold", produced by Warner Bros.

Es ist unnötig, zu sagen, daß sie in Amerika einen ebenso bedeutenden Ruf genießt wie in England, wo sie als Bühnenstern erster Ordnung Millionen von Bewunderern zählt. Selbstverständlich ist auch, daß eine Darstellerin vom Range der Isobel Elsom auch zum Film herangezogen ^\"urde; schon in den Tagen des stummen Films holte man sie zu bedeutenden Aufgaben. Eben ist auch der erste Tonfilm fertiggestellt worden, in dem sie eine Hauptrolle spielt : ,.The Stranglehold" bei Warner Bros.
