ANNE GREY 4, Portsen Mews, Connaught Square, London, W. 2. T: Ambassador 1578. AA • BC • BD • CB • CC EH EK • EL ■ EV Y: 5 ft. 5V2 ins. Z: Brünette phol: Sasha, London Anny Grey was secured foi the screen, in the days of the silent film, as a result of her many successes on the stage. The silent productions in which she played important parts include, among others, "What Money Can Buy", "The School for Scandal", "The Squeaker", "The Brat" and "Guilt". Naturally, when the talking film was introduced Anne Grey was among the first to change over to the new medium, equipped as she was, apart from her remarkable talent, with a perfectly microgenic speaking voice. She has played leading röles in a large number of talking film productions and has worked her way to stardom with amazing rapidity. In 1931 alone she played, and was featured or starred, in the following films: "Other People's Sins", "Happy Ending", "The Man at Six", "The Calendar", "Murder at Covent Garden", "The Old Man", "No. 17" and "The Faithful Heart". She already has a large personal following among cinema goers, whom her name alone is sufficient to attract to the cinema. However, in spite of her phenomenal success on the talking screen, Anne Grey has not entirely abandoned the stage, and occasionally appears "on the boards" in London. Her most recent appearance in the medium in which she made the first part of her dual reputation was at the Arts-Theatre. in "The Years Between", in which she scored a very notable personal success. Einige der bedeutendsten Stummfilme, in denen die Künstlerin an hei-vorragender Stelle mitAvdrkte. sind: „What Money Can Buy", „The School for Scandal", „The Squeaker", ..The Brat" und ..Guilt". Im Jahre 1931 allein feierte sie Triumphe in den Hauptrollen folgender Filme: „Other Peoples Sins", „Happy Ending", „The Man at Six", „The Calendar", „Murder at Covent Garden". ,.The Old Man", „No. 17" und „The Faithful Heart". 486
