Dieser hervorragende komisohe Charakterdarsteller wurde 1916 von Max Reinhardt entdeckt, war elf Jahre lang bei Reinhardt in Berlin und Wien tätig und fiel zum erstenmal besonders auf als Mölfes in „Schneider Wibbel", dessen Uraufführung in Berlin stattfand. An die Reinliardtzeit reihten sich Engagements bei Barnowsky, Saitenburg, Tagger und Härtung; seine großen Erfolge an den Berliner Bühnen, von der Kritik stets übereinstimmend festgestellt, sind heute noch unvergessen. Augeid)licklich steht Hilbert in großer Position in Düsseldorf bei Duinont-Lindemann. Erfolgreiche Rollen in letzter Zeit: Peacham in der „Dreigroschenoper", Zettel im „Sommernachtstraum", der Wirt in .,Minna von Barnhelm", der Bürgermeister im „Hauptmann von Köpenick", Rattengift in „Scherz, Satire ".

Noted Character Comedian; was discovered in 1916 by Max Reinhardt, under whose management he played for eleven years at Berlin and Vienna theatres; made Iiis first great bit as Mölfes in "Schneider Wibbel". whose premiere took place in Berlin; subsequently joined, in turn, Barnowsky, Saitenburg, Tagger and Härtung, scoring successes that were unanimously acknowledged by the Press and that are still remembered to-day; at present occupies an important position in Düsseldorf under Dumont-Lindemann ; latest successes as Peacham in the "Dreigroschenoper". Theo Herrmann ist in Wien geboren, hat in Italien bei Professor Ranieri Gesang >tudiert und trat zuerst — zwanzigjährig — am Agramer Opernhaus auf. von wo er nach großen Erfolgen über das Deutsche Theater in Prag nach Darmstadt kam. Als Gast sang Theo Herrmann in Berlin, München, Wien, Hamburg. Frankfurt, Köln, Stuttgart. Wiesbaden. Kassel und an vielen anderen Opernbühnen, immer mit dem gleichen großen Erfolg. Er ist auch häufiger Gast des südwestdeutschen Rundfunks in Frankfurt a. M. Seine Lieblingspartien sind: Figaro, Leporello, König Marke, Ochs von Lerclienau und König Philipp. Leber sein Organ schreibt die Berliner Presse: „Ein gewaltiger, tiefschwarzer, gutgeschulter Baß." Die ..Rheinische Presse'' spricht von der „Pracht des schönsten aller Bässe: Theo Herrmaini".

Born in Vienna; studied Singing in Italy under Professor Ranieri, and made bis first appearance on the stage, at the age of twenty, at the Agram Opera House. where he scored important successes; subsequently went to the Deutsches Theater in Prague. then joined the Darmstadt Theatre; has visited the Berlin. Munich. \ ienna. Hamburg, Frankfort. Cologne, Stuttgart. Wiesbaden, Kassel, and many other opera theatres. scoring notable successes everywhere; has broadcast frequently for the Südwestdeutsche Rundfunk in Frankfort a. M.: favourite parts: Figaro, Leporello. König Marke. Ochs von Lerclienau and König Philipp. Of Iiis voice the Berlin Press wrote: "A mighty. deep. well-trained bass". The "Rheinische Presse" spoke of "the magnificence of the most beautiful of bass voices, that of Theo Herrmann".
