It's, been nothing short of terrific at Fabian's Paramount where 'Cia,ptain Blood' Is holding sway, and mopping up plenty at the b.,xj. ever since Xnias Day. It is estimated that the Paramount grossed $40,000 for the first seven days, cracking the 'G Men* record which was $28,600.
'Capt. Blood' record Is particularly noteworthy in view of the heavy opposition from 'Two Cities' at Loew's Met and the Temple flicker at the Albee. Met, however, proved no dud judging by the steady patronage, 'Cities* is in its second week how with 'Splendor' and 'Perfect Gentleman' due Friday.
Strand, too. In the money for a change, with 'Show Them No Mercj'' and '$1,000 a Minute.'
