When the independent retailer tries to compete, he finds himself selling at cost, or even at a loss. This would give it an edge over AITRA, with 8,000 mem- bers, Equity with 4,000 and Chorus Equity with 2,000. The latter unions are. apparently agreeable to- the proportional idea.
