Federal Communications Com¬ mission served notice last week that It will use its subpoena power to Obtain vital data it needs to complete its comprehensive inves¬ tigation of the television broadcast¬ ing industry. Study, which started in November of i955, is scheduled for completion by June 30, Agency announced that its Net¬ work Study Committee, under the direction of Dean Roscoe Barrow of Cincinnati U., has decided to hold investigatory proceedings for production of documentary and oral evidence. To assist the Com¬ mittee, the: agency therefore .is¬ sued an order providing it with subpoena power.
