MACFARLANE, GEORGE, Baritone
Mr. MacFarlane needs no introduction to Victor audiences, as his splendid baritone and his admirable work in the Gilbert and f Sullivan operas during the past few years have set a new standard ge in the presentation of those operettas, and made his name known ff to theatre-goers throughout America.
The numbers offered for the Victor début of this singer include the effective song which Mr. MacFarlane gave with such marked success during the run of “‘ Miss Caprice” (Lieber Augustin); the sentimental ballad, ‘Dreamy Eyes,” and a recent Olcott song; an effective number by Caro Roma, and several new _ Irish ballads. The baritone’s resonant voice and excellent delivery are much in evidence in these attractive selections.
