Mme. Boninsegna fully deserved all the praise which had preceded her from Milan, where she had long been a member of the Scala forces, and was declared to be one of the most effective Aidas yet seen in America. Her voice is an agreeable and well-controlled soprano with an unusually rich and strong lower register, and she sings absolutely in tune. Mme. Boninsegna went from the Metropolitan to the Boston Opera, where she repeated her New York successes. The soprano is this season singing in Europe. The Victor Company takes pleasure in announcing nine BONINSEGNA fine arias by this gifted artist, beside two famous duets from Trovatore, sung in conjunction with Signor Cigada.
