GIALDINI, GUIDO, Whistler (Jahi-dee’ -nee)
This accomplished siffleur recently completed his first tour of the United States, and his reception was a most enthusiastic one. The Victor was the first to issue records of the whistler, and these have been very popular during the past few years.
Gialdini, notwithstanding his name, is of German birth and was formerly a linen salesman, but his remarkable gifts as a whistler soon led him to adopt the stage as a profession; and for many years he has been a feature of the European music halls. The sweet-toned reproductions he has made for the Victor have met with an enthusiastic reception from record buyers.

The recent death of this famous baritone of the Metropolitan Opera Company lends a melancholy interest to the list of records he has made.
Although the worth of this artist was well known to New Yorkers, he had won new tnumphs during his last seasons at the Manhattan and Metropolitan, his work being highly praised. His artistic singing will also be remembered as a feature of Mme. Melba’s recent concert tours. M. Gilibert, a short time before his death, gave the Victor several delightful French
songs, delivering them with the artistic finish and good enunciation for which he was noted. GILIBERT RECORDS (In French unless indicated)
