VICTOR VICTROLA RED SEAL RECORDS
ZIMBALIST, EFREM, Violinist Z\ The Victor has added another famous virtuoso to its = list of celebrated players—the young Russian, Efrem Zimbalist, who has created such a stir on the continent, in Great Britain and America. Born at Rostoff on the Don in 1890, he began to study the violin at the age of eight, and at seventeen he completed his musical education under LeopoldAuer. His début at St. Petersburg was sensational, and his subsequent tours through Germany, England and America have earned for him a place among the first violinists of the day.
Zimbalist’s numbers are most attractive ones, comprising the beautiful Humoresque of Tor Aulin; MacDowell’s lovely Long Ago; Spalding’s graceful Alabama; numbers by Reger, Brahms and Cui; and two of ZimRe balist’s own compositions; besides a number of records ZIMBALIST made with his wife, Mme. Gluck, and the great Bach concerto, with Kreisler. He makes records for the Victor exclusively.
